WHY I DO WHAT I DO
Financial planning became more real to me when one of my very first clients died. She was a month older than me, strong and fit and loved everything that the Sunshine Coast provided for her family. Aggressive cancer cut her life short leaving her husband and two children behind. The risk insurance advice I provided to the family years prior was now the practical tool which would be used to cover medical bills, final expenses and for her family to start over again financially. This was the outcome of obtaining appropriate financial advice and something which has had a tremendous impact on me professionally.
Financial planning is diverse, so I’ve chosen to focus on what my profession calls ‘Intergenerational Advice’ - I like to call this ‘Financial planning for your whole family’. It covers everything from the accumulation of wealth in the early years, risk management, estate planning, retirement planning and aged care advice for the frail years.
Family is important to me and I want to help families just like yours to reach their lifestyle and retirement goals and to protect what you’ve worked so hard to achieve. A critical part of this is helping my clients set themselves up to build and successfully transfer their wealth wisely between the generations. I'm here to help you do this well.

I was fortunate enough to make a lot of my financial mistakes when I was starting out. But taking my young family on that journey wasn’t exactly a high point in my life.
Becoming a Financial Adviser was a practical way in which I could help people who needed financial solutions to difficult situations. After experiencing some financial pain, I could empathise with the people who needed my help and lead them with a way forward. Providing my clients with both the advice and the ‘tools’ to put a solution in place and then to see them prosper continues to give me a sense of fulfilment in what I do.
For over 7 years I worked with a large financial services business on the Sunshine Coast providing specialist advice to mostly Queensland State & Local Government employees. Over those years I helped build the financial advice arm of the business along with a capable team of professionals. The work we did was valuable, but I observed that there was a gap in the financial advice market - particularly in estate planning, aged care advice and transitioning family wealth between the generations - and I felt there was more that I could offer the clients in my community.
